I have a MASSEY 1225 4wd hydro which is built by Iseki. I have had no problems with it in 250 hours. The compact line of Massey 1205-1260 were all made by Iseki. If you can get service locally and parts I'd say go for it. I use mine for finish mowing, roto-tilling and mostly snow removal. I have turf tires and they work good for me, I get tire slip when I am moving alot of dirt with the blade that I probably would not have with AG tires. As with any tractor watch the hills go up and down and not across. Good luck

My 2cents. Have you weighed the trailer/tractor combo to see if it is a weight problem(if the tongue is high most weight will be on the back axle)? Look in the phone book for public scales. And is it the same position tires that are blowing(could then point to loading tractor position)? Are the axles close together or spread apart? Spread axles and tight turns can cause sidewalls to break on tires. Another option for tires would be to move up to 20.5X8.0-10 loadrange C/D same weight rating about 1050 but less sidewall flex.

I would try a washer inbetween the nut and turnbuckle. It might put just enough difference between the twist of the two binding surfaces to lock against the thread instead of making one big nut out of the two. I have the same setup on my MF1225 no problems.

well I put springs in the back they only replaced the broken side. Stanley Springs of harrisburg pa did a good job and they had the OEM springs in stock $239 for parts labor and tax. Checked with a body shop they do good work but did not want to tackle the hole thing $1400 for rockers and one cab mount but would not take on anything else. waiting for an appointment with a local shop that does frame offs, custom work looks like body work might cut into engine budget.

I have mine pumped about every 3 years now. This after I had flushing problems and when it was pumped the first time in ten years and they recomended with 5 people in the house and only a 650 gallon holding tank. The minimum tank now for a house in PA is 1000 gallons unless you have multiple bathrooms and a garbage disposal then you might have to go upto 2000 gallons. New septic systems around here weather the ground percs or not is mound type. The biggest reason for pumping mine per the Honey dipper is the the small tank will fill before it can change and can fill your drain field. So it is cheep insurance.

Here in the states they are federally protected as migratory water fowl. But they allow the states to set up their own early and late season to try and keep the non migratory birds in check. The seasons are before the geese start moving south and before the head north. As the winters get milder the geese tend to stay and not travel.

How much metal is in the elbow. My idea would be to tap it out to the thread of pressure gauge use a good sealant and be careful yo did not take to much metal to tap as it might rupture under full pressure. So if it is a big elbow I might try that. Just rap an old pair of jeans around it tight in case it lets loose it will keep it from flying around.

I have a 60" 3ph finish mower on my Massey and for my lawn it works better for me than a MMM would because on the turns which are quite often I can just backup and cut what the mid mower would miss in the corners. If you have a straight cut and not a lot of trees to go around the MMM would work good. If you get the 3ph you have to be careful on the swing around that you dont hit anything with it. The first couple of times I mowed several small trees went to the great compost pile in the sky.

Not sure of the TS series but the 12XX series Massey of the 90s are ISEKI you can ask at a Massey dealer if the have parts or books.

Sounds good, I might go for a larger brush mower something just wider than your tractor width. A 5ft would cover your tracks. Unless you have AG type tires then 4ft might cover it, Other wise you will always be covering the same area. you should have enough PTO to drive a 5ft.

My brother works on diesel trucks and awhile back I asked him about it, so it is hear say but the water expansion rate under pressure is different than diesel and it will expand the tips so it doesn't spray the diesel right. But that was quite awhile back.

I have a worksaver tiller forward rotation. It works great. I think when you get them with a tractor forward or reverse doesnt matter as much because the tractor controls movement. If you have a reverse action I would think it would throw alot of dirt and stones on the tractor and driver.

Run what you are comfortable with . I bought the Hydro so the tiller or future snowblower can be run at full speed with the tractor stopped. I mainly got hydro so the wife and kids can run it when I am not around, when you take your foot of the pedal the thing stops, the stick I test drove the mower had a tendency to push the tractor when you took your foot off the pedal. I hope you have many years of fun working with it.

What it means is your truck with everything attached can only have 6200 pounds on the 4 tires total. 11,800 pounds is the toal weight of the truck and trailer i.e. GCVWR. as long as you do not exceed the axle ratings of the truck. if the truck has a 3800 pound rear axle you cannot put more than that on the axle. if you and your passengers with all your optional equipment air, 4wd, cap,power buckets fuel bigger tires weight 5600 pounds then you can put 600 pounds in the rear or on the trailer hitch. 11800-5600=6200 for a trailer taking in that a hitch type trailer should have 10 percent of the trailer weight on the hitch to carry properly

I would stick with the yellow pine to match the rest of the floor. I would also put 1/2 inch plywood down to keep the floor level. It doesnt sound like much but a 1/2 inch is an ankle buster just waiting to happen. Walk crooked on it once and really twist something and then it is to late. Pick a wide board for the transition between room and hallway. just MHO

I might be going against the grain of every self sufficient compact tractor user out there but if you only need it once a year for 3-12 yards of material rent one from a local shop and maybe split the cost with next door. Save the money for the one time white elephant and get something good for the tractor that you really have been looking at but couldn't spend the scratch for it. The problem I see is trying to find a place for all the stuff you add to the tractor, then there is no place to mow or plow or till.

With the size of the 2 tractors I dont think it will matter. more power will be nice if you get the loader, but not enough power you will wonder why you gave up your little tractor. Mine is to big for mowing my lot but when I move dirt or snow or till it is just right. when you look at the price difference between the 2 I think the larger is better. when I priced mine the difference between large garden and the JD4100, MF 1215 was not big and I took a 1225 off the lot for slightly more than the 1215 I would have to wait for. I also picked MF because there was 2 dealers within 20 miles 1 jd within 20 miles and Kuboto dealer 40 miles away. The dealer I bought from died and business closed down but I still have parts and service local. good luck more power more fun

My linkage is close when I put the chains on I keep the inner run of chain as close to the tread edge as possible, then I take up a few links more on the outside run which puts it closer to the center of the rim. Last I use plastic wire ties to secure all the loose links inside and out. this has held up the last 2 winters. I spend most of my hours on the tractor in the winter plowing snow for the retired people on my road(gratus) The company I work for has a liberal bad weather policy.

Alcohol is very big in south america. The main problem is hard starting in cold weather, and I think you have to set the advance up on engines to keep pinging down.With the new valve trains being built for unleaded I think they can handle to fuel better. They started to convert over after their gas crunch in the 70's, 80's.
